The woes of being short and looking young

I am 22 years old and only 5' tall. I am told I look like I am 15 or 16 years old. Later in life, this may be flattering but for now it is not. Some examples:

One time my husband and I went to a restaurant and they asked him if he would like a kids menu for me.

I was grocery shopping at Walmart and a lady that works there asked me how old I was, when I told her she said, "Oh, cause I was wondering where your parents were at and why you were shopping by yourself"

Another time at Walmart, I was in the makeup aisle and a man stopped and asked me if my mother knew I was looking at that stuff. When I told him how old I am, he called his friend over to come look at me.

Everytime I answer the door at our house, they always ask me if my parents are home. Sometimes when I tell them I own the home, they don't believe me.

So in conclusion, One day I will be the youngest looking 80 year old in the world!! Haha.

What this is all about

One of my favorite sayings is "Life is short, eat dessert first". I absolutely agree with this. You never know what is going to happen from one minute to the next. I say take advantage of every opportunity in life. I would rather regret doing something, than to hold back and end up wishing I had tried it! I hope someone will end up reading my thoughts, but if not, at least I put them out there for someone to see. So until next time...
